DMCA & Copyright Policy

Last updated: June 16, 2026

WallpaperCartoon.com respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. This page outlines our policy regarding copyright-protected material and explains how to submit a takedown notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512.

1. Image Sources & Licensing

All wallpaper images displayed on WallpaperCartoon.com are sourced exclusively through the Pexels API. Pexels provides images under their own license which permits free use for personal and commercial purposes. We do not host, upload, or store original image files on our servers — images are fetched and displayed via Pexels' CDN.

WallpaperCartoon.com operates as a wallpaper discovery and gallery platform. All wallpapers are intended for personal, non-commercial use only (e.g., as a desktop or mobile device background). We do not claim copyright ownership of any image displayed on this site.

2. Fictional Characters & Trademarks

Some wallpapers may depict fictional characters, logos, or other trademarked material (e.g., Disney, Marvel, Anime franchises). These trademarks and copyrights remain the exclusive property of their respective owners. WallpaperCartoon.com does not produce, commission, or endorse fan art or derivative works that infringe upon these rights. If you are a rights holder and believe content on this site infringes your copyright, please use the takedown process below.

3. DMCA Takedown Process

If you are a copyright owner (or authorized to act on behalf of one) and believe that content on WallpaperCartoon.com infringes your copyright, you may submit a written DMCA takedown notice. To be valid, your notice must include all of the following:

  • Your full legal name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  • A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
  • The specific URL(s) on WallpaperCartoon.com where the allegedly infringing content appears.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

Submit your DMCA notice to:

Email (preferred): dmca@wallpapercartoon.com
Please use subject line: DMCA Takedown Request – [Your Name]

We will respond to valid DMCA notices within 5–10 business days. Upon receipt of a valid notice, we will promptly remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content while we investigate.

Since images are served via the Pexels API, we may also forward your notice to Pexels for removal at the source. You may contact Pexels directly at pexels.com/terms-of-service.

4. Counter-Notice

If you believe your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice to the same email address. A valid counter-notice must include:

  • Your name, address, phone number, and email.
  • Identification of the material that was removed and its location before removal.
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
  • Your consent to the jurisdiction of the relevant federal district court.
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

5. Repeat Infringer Policy

WallpaperCartoon.com reserves the right to terminate access for any user who is determined to be a repeat infringer of copyrighted content in accordance with the DMCA.

6. Good Faith

Please note that under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly misrepresents that content is infringing may be subject to liability for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees. Submit takedown notices only if you have a good-faith belief that the use is infringing.
